1. App
3. Apple
- 随时在系统「设置 → 隐私与安全性 → 照片」里撤销嘎嘎亮的相册访问权限;
- 随时在系统「设置 → 你的名字 → 订阅」里查看、取消或管理 Pro 订阅;

Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2026-10-23
GooseGlow is an HDR photo app for iPhone and iPad provided by Li Wentao. Photo filtering, HDR conversion, and color editing take place on your device. The developer does not operate a server to receive or process your photos. Apple system services for place lookup, purchases, purchase restoration, and iCloud photo access may use the network. This policy also covers sharing you initiate, support emails, and visits to the website.
1. Data the App Accesses on Your Device
The app uses the following data to provide photo features. Data involved in network services and its purposes are described in section 3:
- Photo library: with your permission, the app reads your library to browse, filter, and edit photos, and saves converted HDR photos back to it.
- Information inside your photos: the app reads EXIF metadata and capture location to build an on-device index for filtering by device, date, and place. Place identification converts photo coordinates into regional coordinates for Apple's geocoding service, as described in section 3.
- Files you choose: for camera direct import, the app reads the camera files and companion XMP sidecars you pick in the Files app. Import processing takes place on device. If a file comes from a cloud file provider, that provider handles the download.
- Crash logs: reports generated by the app are stored locally for you to view and share voluntarily. They are not automatically sent to the developer. Sharing of system diagnostics is controlled by your Apple system settings.
- Purchase information: Pro purchases are handled by the App Store. The app reads purchase status and expiration information returned by Apple on your device to unlock features. The developer does not receive your card number or payment account details.
2. Accounts, Permissions, and Tracking
- The app has no developer-operated account system. Photo features do not require you to submit your name, phone number, or email to the developer. If you send a support email, the developer receives your sender address and message.
- No location permission requests. Place filtering uses the location recorded inside your photos, not live location.
- No access to contacts, calendars, or health data.
- No third-party analytics, crash reporting, or advertising SDKs. No cross-app tracking.
- The developer does not sell your personal data or use your photos or capture locations for advertising. Apple system services and recipients you choose may process the data described in section 3.
3. Apple System Services and Sharing You Initiate
- Place lookup: to display countries, provinces, and cities, the app groups capture coordinates into a 0.01-degree grid and asks Apple's CLGeocoder service for the place name at each grid cell's center. These regional coordinates may be sent to Apple. Place lookup does not send photo images or read your device's live location. Results are cached on device. Detailed place lookup needs a network connection, so some places may remain unidentified offline.
- Purchases and restoration: the app uses Apple's StoreKit service to load products, purchase Pro, and restore purchases. These services may connect to Apple servers. Apple handles payment details.
- iCloud Photos: if photos or photo information are not downloaded to your device, the app can retrieve them from iCloud through the system photo library service. Photos saved to the system library, and ratings and color labels written to that library, may sync to iCloud and other devices according to your system settings.
- Sharing you initiate: when you send photos or logs through the system share sheet, the selected content is handed to the app or recipient you choose. Photos may include capture location and other metadata. Review this information before sharing.
Apple system services are subject to Apple's privacy policy. The developer does not control Apple's server processing or retention.
4. Storage and Security
Edit history, filter indexes, place caches, and free-edit records are stored locally. The main app and photo editing extension exchange free-edit records through shared storage on the same device. Purchase status is read through Apple's StoreKit service. Local records remain until you delete the relevant records or uninstall the app.
Uninstalling the app does not delete photos saved to the system library or cancel Apple subscriptions. System backups, iCloud sync, and cloud files are managed by their respective services and your settings. Uninstalling the app does not delete copies held by those services.
5. Support Emails and the Website
If you contact the developer by email, the developer receives your sender address, message, and any photos or logs you choose to attach to respond to and resolve your request. Messages pass through your chosen email service and the developer's QQ Mail service. Do not send passwords, payment details, or unrelated private photos. You can request deletion of support materials through the contact email.
The website is hosted by Vercel. When you visit, the hosting service may process connection information such as your IP address, request time, and browser information to deliver and secure the website. The website pages do not include third-party analytics or advertising scripts. See Vercel's privacy notice for hosting information. Website visits and on-device photo processing are separate activities.
6. Your Rights
- Revoke photo library access anytime in Settings → Privacy & Security → Photos;
- View, cancel, or manage your Pro subscription anytime in Settings → your name → Subscriptions;
- Uninstall the app to remove its local records. Manage the system photo library, iCloud, backups, and subscriptions separately in their respective services.
- Remove photo locations or private content before sending support materials. Request deletion of materials already sent through the contact email.
7. Children's Privacy
The app is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from children of any age.
8. Changes to This Policy
When a feature change affects how data is handled, the developer updates this page and the "Last updated" date. Review the updated policy to learn about data handling.
